Years of my own ranch
The love for horses has been with me since childhood.
After eight years at a ranch in Istria, I decided to build one of my own. At the time, I had neither land nor horses — I rented two fields and borrowed my first horses.
Today, horses are my way of life. They are one of the reasons I wake up happy every morning.
01 — The first ranch
My father helped me build my first ranch.
I had spent years working at another ranch in Istria, dreaming of having horses of my own.
When I finally decided to begin, my father helped me build the first ranch.
02 — Starting again
I moved twice before finding a place of my own.
Each time, I started again — clearing the land, building shelters and making the next ranch better than the one before.
My son Andrej was part of that journey, helping me build the second ranch.
03 — The ranch today
7 horses today.
Seven horses are part of the ranch today.
After two moves to rented land, I was finally able to buy my own property and build the ranch again.
Today, the horses live on land that belongs to us, and each one is an equally important part of the story we continue to build together.
What began as a dream became a way of life.
The Name
Nemir i Sjena
The ranch takes its name from my first novel, Nemir i Sjena.
The novel tells the story of horses and a tribe living far from modern civilization — a world where people lived in close connection with nature, animals and one another.
I chose the name because the ranch is more than a place for horses. It is part of the same story I have been building throughout my life.
Today, my dream is simple: to keep building an oasis of peace for everyone who comes here.
